⚠️ Road Work Notice: Gravel Edge Cutting on Willies Way – September 10, 2025

Effective: September 10, 2025
The City Council was notified the evening of September 9, 2025, that Braith Excavation will be returning to Willies Way on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, to perform gravel roadway maintenance.
The planned work involves cutting approximately 8 to 10 inches off the edges of the gravel along the roadway. Work is expected to begin in the morning hours and may cause temporary traffic disruptions in the area.

Heidelberg is located in Lanesburgh Township within Le Sueur County, Minnesota. In the late 1850's, Frank Heil and Frederick Ihrig arrived from Germany and settled in the area. It was in honor of their homeland that they chose the name Heidelberg for our community.
Over the next 20 years a town was founded complete with a general store, shoe shop, blacksmith and also a United State Post office, founded in 1867.
